What this page is all about

This page is dedicated to showing examples of generosity, giving and helping others and will list suggestions, activities and opportunities in how to serve and give to God and others.

Matthew 25:34-40:

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Matthew 25:34-40 Shows us that as we give to others, we are actually giving to God. Serving and giving is an expression of our faith and gratitude to God for all that He has giving to us. Because we love Him and want to serve Him by showing His love and generosity to others. By doing this we are being doers of the Word and not just hearers only. DCFteam believes that this is part of being the Light of the world so that God is glorified by others when they see the good deeds we do for others. And finally, DCFteam believes that part of God’s purpose in saving us, was so that we can do the good works which he has prepared for us. Eph 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
